    AGL CEO addresses International Energy Conference

    On September 8, Ronny Solberg, the CEO of Adjaristsqali Georgia, LLC, attended an international conference entitled, “The Development of Hydro Energy Potential.” The CEO addressed conference participants and discussed the construction of the Shuakhevi HPP as one of the largest investments in infrastructure in the Georgian energy sector.

    The two-day international conference was held in the Radisson Hotel, Batumi with the support of the Norwegian government. Delegations from Georgia, Norway, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan took part in the conference. The conference was opened by the deputy minister of energy, Ilia Eloshvili, and the deputy energy minister of Kyrgyzstan, Nurlan Sabukov. The conference was also attended by government officials from the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

    The goal of this event was to share experience in the fields of hydro energy, renewable energy sources, attracting investment, international projects, and legislative regulations.

    As a part of the conference, participants visited one of the largest infrastructure projects in the Georgian energy sector – the construction of the Shuakhevi HPP.
