    Prashant Joshi appointed as CEO for AGL

    As Adjaristsqali Georgia LLC (AGL) completes construction of the Shuakhevi Hydropower Plant (HPP), one of the largest infrastructure investments in Georgia, and prepares to move into its operating phase, Prashant Joshi (Tata Power) has taken over from Ronny Solberg (Clean Energy Invest) as CEO of AGL.

    Mr. Prashant Joshi began his career in renewable energy at the 72 MW Khopoli HPP plant, where he spent ten years managing plant operations and maintenance. During the course of his long career spanning 23 years with Tata Power, Mr. Joshi has successfully  managed assignments in a variety of functions including automation projects, Corporate Office, Regulatory affairs and Business Development (Domestic & International) . Prior to joining AGL as the new CEO,  he was  the Chief Operating Officer of Cennergi (Pty) Ltd., a South Africa-based wind power operator equally co-owned by Tata Power and Exxaro Resources of South Africa.

    Ronny Solberg has led AGL since 2015 and, during his tenure, oversaw the construction of the largest and most advanced hydropower project in the history of independent of Georgia. AGL is deeply grateful for Mr. Solberg’s contribution during the construction phase of  the 187 MW Shuakhevi HPP.
