ISET Summer School Participants Visited Shuakhevi HPP
On July 16 AGL hosted participants of the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET) Summer School of Economic Reforms, Political Transition and Development at Khichauri camp. The purpose of the visit was to share knowledge and experience of AGL in developing Shuakhevi Hydropower Project in the area, its challenges and achievements.
AGL CEO Prashant Joshi, Project Director Olafur Birgisson, and Deputy Project Director Josh Gerard gave presentations about the Project design and unique engineering challenges, talked about environmental and social risks and solutions, followed by Q&A session. Land and Social Director Zviad Diasamidze discussed about the CSR and main social achievements of the Shuakhevi Project. Following the presentation sessions participants visited Shuakhevi Hydropower Plant and Didachara Dam.
