Vocational Training Center Opens in Shuakhevi
On February 1 AGL in partnership with Kobuleti Community College Akhali Talga opened a Vocational Training Centre in Shuakhevi Municipality.
The aim of the Centre is to train local residents in construction and provide courses that lead to employment during the construction of the Adjaristsqali hydro cascade. Training is offered for: welders, electricians and heavy machine operators. In the future trainings will be held for general laborers as well. 2 month courses are run by teachers and instructors from the Kobuleti College. Trainees who successfully pass and complete the courses shall be awarded certificates. The Training school has recruited 45 locals. In the spring/summer, AGL intends to have two shifts and train 90 students at the same time. The company plans to train around 600 residents.
Mayors of the Khulo and Shaukhevi municipalities, representatives of local councils and media attended the Ceremony.
