    AGL planted 300 Colchis Oak Trees

    Adjaristsqali Georgia LLC began fulfiilment of the obligation towards the State.  On September 27, the company’s employees together with the representatives of the Forestry Agency of Ajara, planted 300 saplings of Colchis oak trees on 1148sq.m in Nigazeuli village, Shuakhevi municipality as a compensation measure for the damage cause to the environment.

    AGL takes obligation to implement Forest eco-compensation programmes (Forest offset) or offset other ecosystems/plant communities to mitigate residual impacts due to Project construction activities. In particular,  for each non Red Listed removed tree two trees of the same species and cultivar will be planted, whereas, for each Red Listed tree – 10 trees of the same species and cultivar will be planted.

    AGL intends to continue holding such activities.
