    Working Visit to Yusufeli and Arkun Dams

    As part of Adjaristsqali Georgia LLC (AGL)’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence and collaboration within the hydroelectric power industry, Satish Bhat, Chief Executive Officer and his team recently visited the Yusufeli and Arkum Hydro Power Plants. The visit was supported by Enerjisa Üretimmajor energy generation company in Türkiye. The company focuses on the production of electricity through various sources, including hydroelectric, natural gas, and wind power plants. Enerjisa Üretim plays a significant role in meeting Türkiye's energy needs and contributes to the country's energy transition efforts.

     

    With a height of 270 meters, Yusufeli is the tallest dam in Türkiye and ranks amongst top ten tallest dams of the world with double curvature concrete arch.  Yusufeli Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant are located on the Çoruh River in the East of the Black Sea Region, 70 kilometers southwest from Artvin.

     

    The visit provided an invaluable opportunity for AGL to witness firsthand the innovative technologies and sustainable practices implemented at the Yusufeli and Arkum Hydro Power Plants. By engaging with the plant operators and technical experts, they gained valuable insights into the operational challenges and successes of these facilities.
