AGL at Partnership4SDGs Forum – Financing the Renewable Future

On June 27, CEO Of AGL, Satish Bhat, took part in the Partnership4SDGs Forum in Batumi, contributing to the panel discussion: “Financing Renewable Energy for Inclusive Growth – Scaling Clean Energy Investments to Deliver Climate Action and Sustainable Development.” Drawing on Tata Power’s experience delivering impactful renewable energy projects in India, he emphasized that blended finance, community benefit-sharing, and innovative models—such as microgrids and decentralized solar—demonstrate how financial viability and social impact can go hand in hand.

“Strategic investment, strong public-private collaboration, and effective regulatory frameworks can transform not just energy systems, but entire economies. Developing Georgia’s renewable energy sector is essential for achieving SDG 7 — affordable and clean energy — while also enhancing the country’s energy security and driving inclusive, long-term growth. By combining concessional capital to de-risk early investments and embedding local development into project design, we can accelerate Georgia’s energy transition. At Adjaristsqali Georgia, we’re proud to contribute to this transition and bring global expertise to support sustainable development.”
